Visit the local bike shops and check out the hard tail mountain bikes or a comfort trail bike depending on how rough a trail you will be ridding. If you are going to ride something like rail trails a hybrid bike would be better.

The Rivendell Bombadil is a great bike. I rode one at Rivendell and it was very light, and had great components. This is a bike that will last you 30 years. It’s made with a nice steel lugged frame and it even has two top bars! It’s pretty cool looking in the bare-metal and gloss-clear-coat finish. Rivendell is a great bike shop because they will measure you and make sure you get a good bike that fits.
