What Kind Of Slicks Should I Buy For My Mountain Bike?
I have a Schwinn mountain bike and I recently heard of getting slicks for mountain bikes to make them a little bit faster, but I have no knowledge of which ones I should look at. I commute to school five days a week, and I live in New Orleans where it rains a lot, can anyone give me any recommendations?

cheap
performance bike has decent ones between $8 and $20
[sometimes they are on sale as low a $8]
they will be fine
no need for $40 or $80 tires
they aren;t going to last 5 times as long or work 5 times better
wle.
The best brand is Schwalbe, expensive but worth it
Marathon plus is very good option they least more than 10,000 km
Very hard to puncture them, reflective sides etc
The Best one is Marathon XR
Also you can trust in Continental they make very good slicks
Town and Country is a good options
In both yo have diferent models
Buy a slick 26×1.5 tire. Get one that has a max pressure at least 80 psi. One time I cheaped out and bought a set with a max pressure of 60 psi. I did not like the way they rode.
Do not concern yourself with tread patterns on wet roads. Bicycles do not go fast enough to aquaplane. Tread pattern does nothing for you.
