What Bike Frame Should I Pick For The New Mountain Bike That I Am Going To Get?

I am going to buy a new mountain bike and i need help on what size of bike frame that fits for me. I am 5 foot 6 and 125 pounds. I am looking at this supercycle bike because it is going for $109.99 because it is such a great price. It comes in bike frame sizes 16 inch and 20 inch. I just would like to know if the 20 inch is too small or perfect sized. Thanks

  1. Get the 16 inch.
    I am 5′6″ also, although I’m 140lb.
When I went to get my new mountain bike I figured bigger was better- and tested the 20inch although I was recommended a 16inch.
I was stretched out like superman to reach the handlebars, and even with the seat on the lowest possible mark I couldn’t touch the ground. Riding it I could just tell it was to big, it seemed harder to control and when I hit the brakes I felt like I was gunna fly off. Plus the fact when I slid off the saddle the bar hit my crotch. I felt really stupid riding it and the bike was just way to big.
So I ended up with the 16inch, and I love it, it fits perfectly and is much easier to handle, much lighter & easier to transport.

You need the 16 inch frame. 20 is too big, and you won’t be able to ride it right. Be cautious of a $109 bike thought, you get what you pay for. Spend $300 and get a Haro or Gt that will last and be fun to ride.

Nope 20 inch should not be too small for you, in fact my boy friend is 6′ 2″ and 155lb and he rides on 19.5 inch bike like I, so you should be alright.
