I am 6′ 4 and 250…im a very athletic person and I want to know the proper sized Mountain bike to buy. Any ideas?

Im about 5′ 10.5″, but have longer legs compared to the average person (but not massive!) Looking at buying a downhill mountain bike but not sure what size frame to get?

What size of Mountain bike tires, widthways, can you get, ascending order?

I want a mountain bike that can be used on a daily basis for both road and trail.

At first, I stupidly bought something for $50 thinking I could use it to ride to my college campus and back. There were many headaches fixing the piece of crap since the parts were so cheap (particularly the wheel bearings). So, I have had enough of that and want something better. What brand or model performs consistently well and why? Also, any USA bike stores you recommend or is it just primarily the local shops that are good?

I’ve lost my quick release clamp for the saddle post of my mountain bike and I want to buy a new one online but the website I was on gave me this warning:
“Varying Clamp Sizes
Be aware that there are many variations in the size of the frame seat tubes. This means that clamps can come in many different sizes. Make sure that you know exactly what size of clamp you need before ordering”

Which parks in or near the SF bay area (San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose) have good mountain bike trails?

My bf wants to buy a mountain bike, and we needed to know what factors we should consider before buying. We already know the frame is important. What else? He’s 6 6″, so we need to be specific. Any ideas? Advice?

I want to bike the Great Divide which is a mountain bike route that is about 2500 miles. I will probably do 45-50 miles per day, and I will be carrying all my own gear. The route will be very hard on the bike, so I would need something that would hold up good. Also, would a cyclocross bike be an option?

I’m looking for an entry-level mountain bike. I’m 5′5″. What size should I get?
