I have limited funds (less than $120) and I would like to buy a set of clippless mountain bike pedals and a pair of the “performance” style shoes. What is more important, nice shoes, or nice pedals? Which should I splurge more on?
I am thinking about the brands nashbar and shimano, and I am wondering whether I should get the cheaper nashbar pedals and the more expensive shoes, or the more expensive pedals and cheaper pedals.
I’m thinking about buying a bike at walmart to ride to work (I only live a mile away) and to do cardio on when I’m not running. Should I get a mountain bike or a street bike? Why is one better than the other?

I have an older Jamis Dakota mountain bike. It’s a hardtail with front shocks. Not sure if the shocks are original (bought it from someone). Is there a general guideline regarding how much pressure should be in those shocks? They seem like they should be a little harder (i.e. they’re too squishy), but I don’t want to over inflate.
I currently have a 1998 Marin Hawk Hill, i got it because i didn’t have that much money and i wanted to see if i liked mountain biking, well i do and i was thinkin about upgrading to a new bike so i was wonderin what would be a good one?

Im 13 years old and want to start hitting jumps and going downhilling, what should i buy for my first mountain bike?
I have a Giant mountain bike that has a stem that is low. I feel like a stem that is higher would be better when riding downhill. My question is, what is the usual stem degree for mountain biking? I live by the desert and some trails are very steep.
Thanks in advance.
I am 15 and 5″5 I weigh about 130 and i want a good mountain bike. I am a beginner. I would like to spend under 300 dollars.
Its a Schwinn Mountain bike(teal in color). It was purchased brand new in 1993, its been in the garage and basement for most of its life. Its still in very good shape.
I have a Schwinn mountain bike and I recently heard of getting slicks for mountain bikes to make them a little bit faster, but I have no knowledge of which ones I should look at. I commute to school five days a week, and I live in New Orleans where it rains a lot, can anyone give me any recommendations?
