I have always been buying the walmart bikes and they have always sucked. I saw a mountain bike that I liked at *****. Are there any good brands I should or should not look into? I hear diamond back is pretty good. I don’t really want to pay more then $300. Is ***** good to buy from?

not looking for a huffy or schwinn, a REAL mountain bike, but one that is considered to be both affordable and still good quality. I’ll also utilize it on the street, often.

I live in a valley with lots of hills and i will be riding on paved roads and dirt trails. Does anyone know of any good mountain bikes for me?

I have no idea know what to look for when choosing a good mountain bike. Im from Houston so no mountains , but have some decent trails. I know there are so many options now a days and have no idea where to start. To be honest im not sure if height matters but I am 5′9″. I plan to ride 2-3 times a week. Which name brands are good?

Thanks in advance for answering. I am a Munro bagger and I am looking for a mountain bike to allow me to access some of Scotland`s more remote Munros. The requirements are as follows:-
It has to be able to withstand up to 20 Kms of track and path in each direction,
It has to have enough gears to be easily ridden up hilly paths, and down obviously
It will be getting tied to trees and hidden in the heather whilst I climb the mountian, so it has to easy to immobilise,
It has to fit onto a current shape Nissan Micra.
Should I go for new or secondhand?

I live in Vancouver BC in Canada and I know downhill mountain biking is really big here. I have a mountain bike that I don’t use and want to sell it but I’m having a hard time finding a good site to sell on.

Ok, so I’m looking to get a mountain bike. Mostly gonna be for trails or off roading. Not looking to spend a whole lot of money here, maybe 400-500 bucks i guess, but just wondering what is a decent bike for someone beginning?

My sis got a autobike mountain bike but I saw no make or model on it. I like the idea of not having to shift gears so I looking for an affordable bicycle that either automatic or gear less and I want something rugged like a mountain bike. Dirt bikes are great but I feel like a little kid riding one. Any suggestions?

I need a mountain bike that’s all purpose and somewhat lightweight.
I need a bike I can ride around town on the streets, up hills pretty easily, and at times .. on some small off-road trails.
I will not be doing any professional riding. I am not a professional rider, but I am a very experienced rider.
I need a bike that’s not to expensive. Around $500 or less is a good price range.

I want to know what part of a mountain bike is the key to make it good at dirt jumping.
