Dahon Engineers select the lightest components possible at this price point. 19.4 lbs, it makes easy to handle whether it be onto a train, carrying it upstairs or onto a bus, it will get you where you have to go quickly. The MU SL incorporates everything we know about making an ultra light and fast folding bike for all-around use. A 7005 aluminum frame combined with six patented technologies add up to an incredibly stiff frame platform that makes the bike surge forward with each spin of the cranks. The Mu SL rolls on Kinetix Pro wheels – the lightest, fastest compact wheels on the planet. So if youre looking for speed and an incredibly light bike, look no further.

This brand new comfortable commuter bicycle is as user-friendly and low-maintenance as it is easy on the eyes. Thanks to its internal 7-speed shifting (which can be shifted even when you’re at stop signs and lights), lightweight aluminum frame, super plush synthetic suspension saddle, full front and rear fenders, and an all-purpose rack, the only thing you?ll have to do when this bike arrives at your door is figure out what to do with your car. Aluminum frame is lightweight and stiff for easy lifting and quick acceleration, yet plenty strong to withstand heavy loads and rough roads. Shimano internal rear hub is remarkably maintenance-free compared to conventional cassette systems and provides seven smooth-shifting gears. Using the Nexus shifter is intuitively simple, letting you adjust the ride to meet the challenges of ascents, descents and sprints through traffic. Equipped with a Handlebar LED light, one of those rosy red rear lights, and low profile Mtn tires, this bike can easily – and safely – deliver you to wherever you need to be 24 Hours a Day, whether that includes gliding down a bike path or handling backwoods trails to Grandma?s House. Oh, and say you?re stopping by a friend?s house for (more…)

Featured: Wordpress Plugins

Kuota K-Factor Road Bike: We are big fans of the Kuota K-Factor. It looks amazing and the ride is inspiring. Born as a triathlon bike the folks at Kuota are now offering this frame as a road bike build. This is a great opportunity to get a road bike that can later be used for triathlon (the fastest growing cycling related sport). This is just the bike to get you going on the road and even into tri. For starters, tri bikes have slightly steeper seat tubes to place the rider further over the cranks than a road bike. This allows the rider to use the larger quad muscles over the smaller calf muscles. Tri bikes also take advantage of aero-shaped tubing to slice through the air with less resistance. Now take those attributes and apply them to a road bike format. What you get is a comfortable quick bike that likes to shoot down the road. Tri frames in general have slightly shorter top tubes to put the pilot in a comfortable position when using aerobars. The difference in most cases is 1-1.5cm. A proper fit is easily obtained by refrencing the size chart and the usual minor tweaks of saddle position and/or stem. The generous head tube size of the K-Factor allows this bike to be utilized in many different formats. Start with the road build and add an aero bar clip-on and you are set to go! If you decide that triathlon is for you then you can replace the road handlebar with a full blown tri bar and go all out. Assembly is required! This bike comes unass (more…)

The 2008 6POINT series models are designed for situations where a typical trail or marathon bike is not enough, but where a freeride bike is overkill. The trails will require climbing but also have technical sections that may include jumps, stunts, and steep chutes or descents. This aspect of riding is categorized as All Mountain – the 6 POINT is aimed at the more aggressive side of the all mountain category, combining some features of heavier duty Freeride bikes with a lighter weight frame and air spring suspension. Aggressive all mountain bikes feature durable – but light weight – frames, large diameter disc brake rotors, dual front chain rings, and 6.3 inches of suspension. With incredible efficiency and practically endless traction, the dw-link 6POINT will push you to conquer the most rock-strewn and technical climbs in existence, then let you open it up on tight and technical trails on the way down. The lightweight 7.3 lb frame is crafted using Iron Horse?s 6069-t6 OPT tubing and F7 links to provide a stiff, strong, and responsive ride. The 6POINT also features a 150×12mm rear wheel spacing and 83mm BB shell for maximum tire clearance, solid wheel builds, and an aggressive riding stance. Coupled with a 160mm travel forks, the 160mm (6.3 inch) of efficient and compliant dw-link rear wheel travel make the 6POINT the total Deep Woods Package. The 6 point 4 combines the famous Iron Horse DW 6POINT frame with top end components: a Fox DHX 3.0 (more…)
