I Am Looking To Buy A Comfort Bike As A Replacement To My Trek Mountain Bike. Recommendations?
I only ride on old railroad trails for long distance, exercise and enjoyment. My mountain bike has some nice features of being light weight and durable….I have not been able to find reviews for comfort bikes so I could find a bike that would be nice to ride.
Well you gave no clue as to your budget. Check your local bike shops. Shop around listen to what they all say, become informed and make a purchase.
One thing about railroad trails, they have no steep hills.
Have you considered a recumbent bicycle?
Some bikes are semi-recumbent, they add a little stretch to the frame for comfort, but don’t go all-the-way low for aerodynamics.
The Giant Revive is a semi recumbent.
Electra makes some stretched bikes:http://www.electrabikes.com
Rans makes recumbents, and they have a bike that is not too low:http://www.ransbikes.com/Fusion07.htm
I don’t know what bike to recommend but steel-framed bikes are much nicer than aluminum. They have the disadvantage of being
a lot heavier but they are definitely more comfortable.
