How To Pump Up A Rear Shock Of A Full Suspension Mountain Bike?
So i got a full spension mountain bike and i need to add air to the rear shock. But the stem on the rear shock is too short. When i use my air compressor to add air, the nozzle of the air compressor wont fully connect to the stem on the shock because the body of the shock is in the way. its hard to explain, but long story short, i think i need a stem extension or something like that. do they make those? anyone got a better idea?
thanks
You need a shock pump.. There is a specific type of pump that’s required for shocks and forks just like you have to have either a presta or schrader valve head to pump up a presta or schrader valved tube, you need to have a shock pump to inflate either shocks or forks. Buzzy’s makes a good high pressure shock pump…http://www.beyondbikes.com/itemMatrix.as…
You need a specific pump for the job. Best one in my opinion is a genuine Fox Shock Pump – you will need to look up the correct pressure for your shock, frame and rider weight – usually available from the frame manufacturers website.
