Depends on the path you choose. Time and Miles are variables set by the terrain, objects, elevation, weather, speed etc. Casual riding is relaxing especially if your aiming increase slowly. A couple of miles isn’t that bad if you do it regularly. If your aiming to increase fitness may I suggest that doubling that figure or riding in a harder or elevated terrain like a bridge or on grassland.

How far you ride is up to the rider, not the bike.
For example: Every year there are mountain bikers that ride TOSRV, 210 miles in 2 days on the road. I won’t try it on a mountain bike, but there are those that can do it.
Thus, how far you ride is purely up to your abilities.
When I go to the rail trails I never ride less then 30 miles. Ridding on the street is very boring on a mountain bike.
as many as you like…i normally do 30-40 on paths and roads in 3-4 hours
