I’m looking at buying a decent hard tail mountain bike for commuting, and probably for future off-road use. I have up to about £1500 to spend. It’s just occurred to me that there isn’t just the bike to buy; I’ll need tools, spares, lights, and lots of other kit. I’m a bit new to all this. What essentials do I need to buy, and how much of my budget should I use for each item?
i just recently bought this mountain bike and it is working good but the disc brakes need a bit of adjusting i think. this is the first time i got disc brake bikes and don’t know much about them. the problem is that the brake pads have contact with the disc or the rotor when i spin the wheel. it doesn’t spin freely and spin slow. also i checked that the disc is a bit to the left in the caliper. i tried to loosen but it didn’t even move. can you guys help me or possibly give me a guide?
thankyou.
I was planning to buy a new bike and I don’t know to get a BMX bike or mountain bike.
I’m selling a Magna Excitor 21 Speed Mountain Bike. It is a 2x Suspension and is in great shape. All it needs is a little oiling on the chain, air in the tires, and a quick bath and it will be brand new. I need to know how much to sell it for. Its over $100 i bet, but i want to know the exact price and how much i should sell it for.
Thx
what is the 8th how many is there in a inch?
Mountain bike suspension?
How do you jump your Mountain Bike on dirt jumps or any jump in general? I am a bit of a noob in this area and can only do small jumps but then again i have a pretty lousy bike. Any specific tips on how to jump a mountain bike?
All I find online is taking the volcano bike ride tour for $150. What a ripoff. Is there somewhere I can just rent a bike? If renting an SUV is costing me $29 per day, i figure a mountain bike outta be no more than that right?
I only have a mountain bike, I’ve had it for a while, it’s pretty good, and I want to start riding it again. I would go through a few paths here and there, but mostly road. Would it look silly, though, to be riding a mountain bike on the road?
opinions greatly appreciated.
thanks!
Comfort seat-raising the handle bars (stem) as much as possible-thinner tires -as much as rims will support-raising seat post—I have a mountain bike that rides real smooth as well as shifts smoothly.
I have a Turner Nitrous, but I think the best looking mountain (XC) bike out there is a Foes FXR 2:1 in red. Are there any better suggestions?
